Travel Dates: April 19 - May 2

Maui - Kaanapali Beach Resort

Room Size: 5 - Comfortable, plenty of room

Amenities: 5 - Deck facing courtyard - beautiful plants

Service: 5 - Outstanding

Restaurants: 5 - Awesome breakfast buffet, fresh fruit, good selection. Outdoor dining - enjoyed dinner with Hawaiian music.
Entertainment: 5

Pool/common areas: 5 - Enjoyed Kupanaha Magic Show right at the hotel. Great food - had choice of entrée. Liked the free Mahi Tai blue Hawaiian drink!

Location: 5 - Right on boardwalk. Very convenient!

Over-all: 5 - Very Hawaiian atmosphere. Enjoyed the nightly entertainment - steel guitars, hula dancers, live band and close to Whalers Village. Staff was nice, friendly, personal. Gift shop had nice selection of clothes and gifts.

Kauai - Kauai Beach Resort

Entertainment: 5 - Went to weekly show Wednesday "South Pacific" at hotel. Very good show and buffet dinner - used concierge to book show.

Pool/common areas: 5

Location: 5 - Close to airport and Lihue

Over-all: 5* - Very new. I enjoyed the resort atmosphere. 5 different pools, lots of space. Restaurants were used daily for buffet. Liked sitting outside. Excellent food. Great food choices and portions.

Sightseeing Tour: Maui- Valley Isle Excursions. Road to Hana Tour. Picked us up at our hotel. Driver very knowledgeable and friendly. Stopped at every picture stop. Liked BBQ chicken dinner instead of box lunch. Would recommend this tour to others.

Sightseeing Tour: Kauai - Smith Family Garden Luau - they picked us up at the hotel. I enjoyed the tram ride, exotic peacocks, beautiful grounds, excellent food selection and plenty of desserts. Enjoyed Hawaiian music during dinner. Luau dancers and evening show. Magnificent program!
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - one of the highlights of the trip! The scenery is unbelievable and beautiful. Very professional and friendly.

Did you explore the surrounding area? If so, how? And, what did you see?: We rented a car - we put 400 miles on at each island! Visited Haleakala National Park, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens - saw every plant and flower and 80 pictures! Lahaina shopping, Kapalua as far as road would go. Kihei - White sandy beach - not crowded. Lanalei, Kapaa to see the lighthouse, Poipu for the Beach House and Waimea Canyon.

What is one thing/sight that you would recommend to anyone traveling to Maui?: Road to Hana Tour; Haleakala National Park

What is one thing/sight that you would recommend to anyone traveling to Kauai?: Helicopter Ride, Smith Family Garden Luau, Waimea Canyon

Vacation overall: 5* - Best vacation ever!!! Hawaii is beautiful. Lots of sun, 85 degrees and sunny, no rain! Very scenic, flowers so unusual and gorgeous. Hotels, food and service outstanding, very friendly. I enjoyed every minute. Lots to see! Brought home some great memories and gifts to remember. Don't forget the 400 pictures!! Sharon took 1600 pictures!
