Destination:
Islands of Adventure-Universal Studios and Cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico
Royal Caribbean-Radiance of the Seas
Dates: March 12th-19th
Accomodations:
5 = Best
Room
Size: 4-We had 2 small inside staterooms on the ship. We would probably pay extra next time for a window though as
it would be nice to see daylight.
Amenities: 5-There were many drawers and shelves to organize our belongings so we felt like
we were "settled in" for our 5 day cruise
Service: 5-All staff was very friendly and willing to help us in any way
Restaurants: 4-5-The
food is always good, although there seemed to be less availability and variety from cruises we took 15-17 years ago.
Pool/common areas: 5-Very
clean and well-kept.
Enterainment:
5-We really enjoyed the singing/dancing shows and the comedian was hilarious!
Location: 5-We also stayed at the Holiday Inn and
Suites right by Universal Studios. The location was SO convenient and we just drove to Universal on our own and it took less
than 5 minutes-very close! The first night we were put in a smoking suite by mistake, but they were very accommodating to
get us into a non-smoking room on the 2nd night, when they had availability. The 2nd suite needed some
basic repairs. The TGIF's in the hotel was so convenient and we ate there for 2 breakfasts and one
dinner. Kids 12 and under ate free, so that was a good deal!
Over-all: 5-The trip was truly wonderful!!
Tours: 5-We paid for 2 Shore excursions
and really liked them. The Jungle Beach Break in Costa Maya and Discover Mexico/Chankanaab Park in Cozumel,
where we learned some information about Mexico and then saw many dolphins up close and did some snorkeling too.
Did you explore any areas on
your own?: The bus and taxi's were included in our shore excursions, so we were able to just show up and the
guides took care of everything.
What is one thing you think everyone traveling to this area should do/see?: Take
advantage of any shore excursions as the price is worth it for the stress-free experiences.
Trip Overall: 5-This was what
a vacation should be---so relaxing! Jenni did a super job planning it for us! All six of us loved it!
